What is Stonebranch Universal Automation Center?
Stonebranch Universal Automation Center, or UAC, is an enterprise automation and orchestration platform used to centrally design, execute, monitor and control workflows across hybrid IT environments.
It brings workload automation, event-driven orchestration, application integration, data workflows, cloud services and business processes into one central automation layer.
How is Stonebranch different from a traditional job scheduler?
Traditional schedulers are primarily focused on executing jobs at predefined times. Stonebranch also supports real-time and event-driven automation, allowing workflows to react to application, data, infrastructure and business events as they occur.
This makes it possible to coordinate cloud services, APIs, SAP, data platforms, containers, mainframes and enterprise applications within the same orchestration environment.
Can Stonebranch replace Control-M and convert existing workloads?
Yes. Stonebranch can be used to replace or modernize existing workload automation platforms, including Control-M and other legacy schedulers.
A major advantage is Stonebranch's Xpress Conversion Tool (XCT), which is designed to automate much of the migration and conversion process into Universal Automation Center.
For Control-M environments, XCT can read and convert existing Control-M definitions—including workload and scheduling objects— into UAC, helping reduce the amount of manual redevelopment required during migration. Stonebranch supports both automated and phased conversion approaches, allowing organizations to move selected workloads first or migrate larger portions of the environment in controlled stages.
Supervize can complement the conversion tooling with workload assessment, dependency analysis, target architecture design, validation, phased cutover, training and post-migration optimization.
Does Stonebranch support SAP and hybrid enterprise automation?
Yes. Stonebranch supports SAP automation while also orchestrating processes across cloud platforms, databases, enterprise applications, APIs, infrastructure and legacy systems.
This enables organizations to coordinate SAP and non-SAP processes through one central automation platform rather than operating separate scheduling tools for each environment.
Is Stonebranch available for SaaS, on-premises and hybrid environments?
Yes. Stonebranch supports flexible deployment and connectivity models for organizations operating across cloud, on-premises and hybrid IT environments.
